This year, like every year, The Saba Conservation Foundation will host another Fort Bay Harbor Cleanup for Saba Doet. An important project focused on preserving the beauty and health of Saba’s environment. This event will take place both in the water and on land around the harbor, aiming to reduce pollution and enhance the marine ecosystem.
We will come together to remove debris from the harbor waters, helping to protect marine life and ensure that our waters remain pristine. To participate in the underwater cleanup, you will need to have a PADI Advanced open water diver (or equivalent) and 25 logged dives. Along the shoreline, we will clear the land of litter and waste, ensuring that the area surrounding the harbor is clean and safe for both locals and visitors alike.
By participating in this important cleanup, we will not only improve the aesthetic appeal of our harbor but also contribute to the long-term health of Saba’s coastal ecosystems. Join us in this hands-on effort to protect the natural beauty of Saba and create a cleaner, more sustainable environment for future generations.
